The Artist

Peter Harris and Anders Midtgaard started out as bandmates in now bypassed Noise-pop band Explosive Mono. As the band disbanded the two decided to start out writing and producing songs in the now empthy “the Man and the Bacon Studies”. Peter Harris, who also publishes in the name Fjeldaben with a playful, downtempo electronica sound and Anders Midtgaard who has performed mostly in Punk and Alternative rock constellations such as Alternative Rock band Rescue Rescue  found a common ground in experimenting with new genre and in and attempt to challenge themselves and hopefully creating a new sound in the process.

About the upcoming Album

In late 2010 they decided to commit to writing one song upon each meeting. The startout was an experimenting with genres, quite unfamiliar territory to themselves such as House and Techno but in the process the members interest and passion for New wave, Electro-pop, Trip-hop , Industrial , Electronica and Noise and Indie Rock starts to shine through. Therefore the final result naturally appears thouroughly eclectic and varied. The duo also found that adding the sound of objects such as scissors, zippers, cutlery, pots and pans would add depth and texture to the overall sound.

As a matter of faith Anders Midtgaard had for a long time been brewing on ideas for a Sci-fi story and that story seemed to fit quite neatly the basic mood of the songs. The passing theme of the lyric on the album deals happiness, crazy sex, neuro-manipulation and a guy called Andy who by chance becomes a secret agent hired to save us all from depression and boredom.

The album performed live is accompanied by a carefully cured VJ installation.
